Can't be bothered to make a new thread about this... What were the Warmouth parts like Swifty? The build quality and finish is very good. The quality of the finished article is very much dependant on your skill in bolting it all together and setting it up. I did the construction and had a tech do the set-up and wiring. The set-up was not as good as I'd have liked, but this has nothing to do with the quality of the Warmoth parts. With the cost of the parts, shipping and import duty/VAT it wouldn't work out any cheaper to build with Warmoth parts, but you do get the guitar you want as opposed to and 'off the shelf' compromise. If you are thinking of building a guitar yourself with Warmoth, or any other generic parts, be sure of EXACTLY what you want before ordering. I was under time constraints and have had to put up with a much skinnier 'off the shelf' neck than I would have liked Hope this helps

Yeah it does mate. I was just always wondering if it was as good-a quality as it looks on the site.
Was your copy of the Jackson all Warmouth then?

Yup, like I said, all excellent quality The only bits that weren't from Warmoth are the pickups, strings and case EVERYTHING else was supplied by them.

I read you have a PAF pro in there, I got a couple of them on me Ibanez.
I'm thinking about doing something with a knackered old RG550 a mate has and was thinking of using Warmouth... But can't think of anything brilliant to do with it yet!

Aye, a PAF and a Super Distortion. Both great pickups Good luck with the RG550. I would give Warmoth a call before you order anything though. With 'standard' guitars, Strats, Teles, Les Pauls etc the compatibility of parts is pretty good but with other makes/models there may be some issues. The people at Warmoth are very helpful and will give you great advice.

If you ever need a Jan in the band give us a call They're very knowledgeable and certainly steered me in the right direction. We have mulled over the 3 guitar line-up idea for certain venues, our Dave Hurry joined the band as Manic Gers in his previous life, it's just finding venues big enough. You never know
