Apologies for the short set (and singer, tee hee) and lack of encores. We were monumentally annoyed!
The powers that be at Fibber's (very apt name in my humble opinion) told us they had a 10:30 curfew and we had to be finished 'cos Mr. D.J. bloke wants to play his CDs 'til 2:00am. We couldn't go on 'til 8:45 due to having a support band (who, it has to be said, are completely blameless!) and finished the main set by around 10:30. The sound engineer, under orders from 'Da Management', turned off the P.A. and we couldn't continue. We discovered this when we started the intro tape for NotB and nothing happened. Mr. Dickinson had a quick chat with 'Da Management' to try to talk some sense into them and allow us to do our usual encores, and our audience were baying for more, however they wouldn't listen and that was that.
We were, as I'm sure were many of the paying public , fuming, as to over-run by 15 minutes wouldn't have been a disaster. Check out Mr Hurry's diary as this, and more, will all be made clear.
Once again, apologies to everyone that turned up and feel they were short changed, it was completely out of our control.
