Well I had been looking forward to this gig since seeing Hi-On at Fibbers, York. Which I must say I didn't realise until reading the apology in the website that the venue had been so shitty with regards to timing and curfew for their club night. Although that could be down to the amount of beer that had been consumed throughout the gig.
Anyways....
Support act was interesting to say the least, Censored or something like that with a big guy on vocals with an equally big voice to match. Hmmm..
When the guys came on I must say I was disappointed it was not to the usual intro, but I'll put that down to the venue and nothing else. However, they burst on stage with as much energy as ever.
A really good set list, good selection of songs which pleased both fans and people who had wandered down out of pure curiosity.
Amazing end to the set (which was nice as I didn't get to see this at Fibbers, [glow=red,2,300]grrr[/glow])
And look forward to seeing them again hopefully in the theatre next time.

Ahhhhh, the Spinal Tap intro.................. Unfortunately, the venue was lacking the correct lead to plug our mini disc player into the P.A. so we had to improvise with a very dodgy connector in between two very dodgy guitar leads! Worked okay in soundcheck but when I started the intro (Doctor Doctor/Moonchild) nothing came out! I jiggled the dodgy connector and, hey presto!, noise came out I couldn't, however, stand there holding the damn thing until we were supposed to hit the stage so I had to ask some poor, unsuspecting you chap stood to the side of the stage if he would stand there, looking like a complete twat, occasionally jiggling for the six minutes the intro runs for. Bless him If you're reading this BTW, thank you kindly Of course this also meant that all the rest of our intros/sound effects were inoperable for the rest of the night We are very sorry if this spoiled anyone's enjoyment of the show but it really wasn't our fault We will endeavor to bring all our own leads from now on! Up the Hi-ons!! Oh, thanks for the review BTW
