Hey all, I'm a huge fan of Maiden and proud to be a FC member. Unfortunately, because of my situation ( long story) I doubt I'll ever get to see my favourite band play live.
Iron Madien have been an inspiration to me for many years and are constantly mentioned in published urban thrillers.
I'm currently in the UK and was so excited to hear that Hi on Maiden was playing in Kettering, only 40 mins from where I live. Of course I've heard of this band, what IM fan hasn't. Not only being the only IR maiden endorsed tribute band but also getting frequent mention in the FC magazine.
This was one band I had to see. And I knew they wouldn't disappointed.
Having most of the CD'S and DVD's I knew how the band perform and behave on stage and I was so excited to see Hi on Maiden behaving and sounding almost identical.
Bruce, your voice is awesome. And all of the band gave 100% to their performance, just like IR do.
Unfortunately, the venue wasn't a great place to play and although the sound was crisp, unless you were standing on the front right next to the stage and speakers, you couldn't see a thing.
As I'm currently 8 months pregnant ( yes, you heard that right) I didn't want the risk of being too close and getting squished. So I was the one standing on the leather sofa singing and trying not to jump up and down to much while I enjoyed every song the band performed.
I know it wasn't an ideal time to go to see a rock band , but there was no way I was missing this gig.
Luckily my waters did not break lol. And it was certainly a night I will remember for a very long time.
Many thanks to the band and best wishes for the rest of your coming gigs.
I hope the next time I'm in the UK I get the opportunity to see you guys play again.
P.S the recordings of the night sounded great.
Up the Irons.
