I went to see Hi-On Maiden in the Riga in Southend a few weeks back and thought they were totally brilliant. Only trouble was there's a distinct lack of public transport back to Chelmsford late at night so I had to drive.
Are there any gigs planned in or around London. I'm sure they would attract a large crowd as the Riga wasn't packed out that night - as it should have been to see such a great show!

Now then chicky! Glad you enjoyed the Riga show! Unfortunately there are currently no gigs booked in for the London area but we are now in the process of booking more dates for next year so keep your eye on the gig-list on the website for news and updates. I will drop you a line in here if any come in though too ;D

I want London gigs. I live in Dartford, so Southend was about as local as gigs got for me last year. You get shit money in London pubs though. I need to scout places round here...

Chicky, if you know any suitable venues you could always drop us a message with contact details and we'll investigate the possibility of getting a gig there.
Up the Hi-ons!!

Hi Adrian. Well as far as I know there aren't that many well known decent sized paying venues this side of London but I've been to see other bands in the Half Moon in Putney and the Standard in Black Horse Road a few time. Both of them are ok and charged about a tenner I think. I would imagine you would draw a fair crowd at either of those to make it worth the trek. I'd certainly make it and try and drag a few mates along.
Don't have a clue how much pubs would charge at the door though.
For London venues (and some idea of door prices) I usually check on ents24. You can do a postcode search which is really useful.

Cheers chicky. We'll check out them two venues, hopefully we can get something sorted. Like Mr. Hurry said, London pubs don't stump up enough money to make our, not insignificant, journeys worthwhile but if either or both of the two venues in question are reasonable and we can pair 'em with something else them we may be seeing yer soon Will let yer know what happens................
