Well, um, I do a little with me trusty old geetar synth. I play a few chords with me midi foot controller too in places

I've always wanted a guitar synth, but know little about them... Is that the thing next to the bridge of the SG?

Nope It's the thing between the bridge and bridge pickup on the old sunburnt Strat. And the controller is the thing behind the bridge... Don't know what bit you mean on the SG, unless it's the peace sign Heh heh... There is also the synth pedal itself, with all the groovy sounds in it... Takes a bit of getting used to!

Yeah the thing on the strat was what I was thinking of, not really sure why I said SG! Was yours expensive? I've never really just heard one on it's own, apart from Phil Hilbournes.. Who you might know from Nickos Clinic band. Is it screwed into the scratchplate?

To be honest I can't remember how much I paid for mine An eBay search for Roland GR-20 would probably turn something up though. As far as the sounds go some are pretty awesome, I mainly use strings and synth sounds which are all very good. Some of the other sounds are less than impressive such as the guitars sounds.....but then again, why would you use those if you're playing guitar already The hex pickup on mine is fixed with the supplied double-sided tape which seems to work fine. You can fix them with screws, which makes for easier height adjustment, but I didn't have time to faff that much. The other notable thing about synths is the fact you have to play very accurately, they are very unforgiving things!
